Canadian Traditions. Ok, Food.

So we're in beautiful Edmonton, Alberta, right now for one of our favorite shows of the year... YC.

Jason and I were trying to figure out how many years we've been coming to this event, which happens annually, and came up with the number 6. This is our SIXTH consecutive year at this event. I can't believe we managed to stay together as a band for this long! Haha...

Every time we return to Canada, those of us that are Canadian (Jas, Dan, and I) each have our own little list of things we need to see, hear, or eat. Mostly, eat. For me, it's the Iced Capp from Tim Horton's. "Capp" is short for cappucino, and using that word is being generous. I'm not sure if this drink bears any resemblence to real coffee.... it's basically a sweet coffee-flavoured slurpee. Haha.... but BOY is it good! Ok, since you asked nicely, I'll take a picture of one for you.

There is also Swiss Chalet.... which is a chicken place we all grew up with. It's not so much about the chicken there.... it's all about the SAUCE! The Chalet Sauce is a force to be reckoned with. Think of it as kind of a spicy gravy. It's all about dipping! You can dip nearly anything in this sweet nectar. I like to get the chicken-on-a-kaiser with fries, because that way, every single thing on the plate is dippable. YUM!

Anyways, I'm gonna head down to second cup and get a coffee. I hope you're having a beautiful morning. I know I haven't written much recently, so I'll try and get in the swing of things!

jon, you are aware that iced capps are available outside of canadia-land right?

yeah.... but only in a few places in Michigan, Ohio, and upstate NY.... most of the US is iced-capp deprived!

wow... Jon, you didn't mention ketchup chips! i found ketchup chips here in the US! they were supposed to be Burger King "french fries n ketchup" flavored, but i call them ketchup chips! canada as a ton more of better food than the US. haha..
is it true Mountain Dew is uncaffinated up in Canada?

Ah I did not know this. I guess we have it kinda good here in michigan. so if you head down here maybe you should have an iced capp so you're not so grumpy about our crap roads haha. That's what I do anyways.
