So today is my 26th birthday, and I had such a great time celebrating yesterday. We went and saw the new star trek movie (I give it a 7 out of 10), and had some great Thai food!
The day, before, however.... was a bit of a disaster. We spent most of the day riding the bus back to Nashville from Iowa. We got back into town at 4pm.... and I ran a few errands, and went to meet Jess at her work. Once she was off work, we planned on heading out to meet some friends for a little birthday get together.... I turned the key, and NOTHING!
We tried to jump start it with Jess's car, tried fiddling with the battery... But no luck. Finally, I resigned myself to my last option... I called a tow truck.
All this took long enough that we had to cancel the birthday plans... Bummer!
Well, as it turns out - the only thing wrong with it was that a $2 rubber stopper had broken... one that tells the car that the clutch is in, and it's ok to start. All that trouble, towing, and time.... Over a $2 rubber stopper. Haha. Life is funny sometimes.
You can't make this stuff up.

Happy birthday Jon!!! Sorry about your semi-bad birthday celebration. it's Ok thoguh, it has been my experiance that semi-bad (or ever horrible) birthdays mean you will have an awesome year ahead. I'll be praying that you do have an awesome 26th year. (My 25th is coming up on Monday, let's see what does to me, hehe).
